Support Recover Hold 14 Henrietta Street

In 2024 I was Artist in Residence with the Dublin City Council Culture Company at 14 Henrietta Street, Dublin, as part of the Creative Residencies programme. I focused on the period 2008-18, ten years during which the house was rescued, stabilised and conserved. The fabric of the building, internally and externally was investigated, creating a new archive of knowledge that contributed to the story of the building and the lives of its occupants over 300 years. This was a unique opportunity to examine the construction history of a single building, dating back to 1740. I was interested in how construction methods of the past aligned with those of the present and what problems and solutions resulted from this process. There is a point of conjuncture here, a space between the past and present that felt relevant to the importance and popularity of this house as a museum. During the residency, I develop a visual response to this through observation and research, creating a series of mimeographs prints. Title Information: mimeograph on paper, 29 x 23cm or 23 x 29cm, 2024.
